Vitor Hansem
Victor Hansem is Deputy Head of the Division of Science and Technology in the Ministry of External Relations, Government of Brazil. <br>He has a degree on computer sciences from University of São Paulo, Brazil. He also owns a Masters degree on Diplomacy from Rio Branco Institute – the Diplomatic Academy in Brazil –, where his studies were focused on the analysis of the WSIS process and the evolution of the global Internet governance regime. He begun his professional activities as a software engineer at Itautec, Brazil, and served as a consultant on corporate systems, databases and retail software solutions for several companies in Brazil and in the United States for tem years.
A career diplomat since 2003, Vitor Hansem has been the desk for information society in the Ministry of External Relations in Brazil since 2006. In this position, he has been in charge of following the WSIS implementation processes in its various branches. He participated in the 1st IGF in Athens and was involved in the organization of the 2nd IGF meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Vitor Hansem is a member of the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group that assisted the United Nations Secretary-General in the preparation of the 3rd IGF in Hyderabad.
