Expected Outcomes
The expected outcomes of this session include a deeper understanding of the challenges older adults face in Internet governance and the effective strategies that can address these issues. Participants will gain knowledge of successful initiatives and how they can be adapted in different contexts.
Key outputs of the session will include:
A summary of key discussion points and insights captured through real-time feedback tools (e.g., Mentimeter), which will be shared with attendees post-session.
A collaborative community on Telegram, where participants can continue discussions for further action on digital literacy for older adults.
A report or article summarizing the session’s outcomes, including policy recommendations for improving digital inclusion for older adults, which may contribute to future advocacy efforts.
Potential follow-up events or partnerships, fostering ongoing dialogue and collaboration among the session’s participants, including digital literacy educators, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
Hybrid Format: We'd like to hear from participants by sharing a Mentimeter link, where they can write down the main challenges, questions, and desires for change concerning the topic. Afterward, this document will be shared in the Telegram group, allowing participants to continue contributing after the session ends, promoting further collaboration.
The session will begin with a 5-minute introduction by the facilitator, who will introduce the speakers and explain the Mentimeter activity where participants can contribute their thoughts. Each speaker will then be asked a question by the facilitator, allowing 5 minutes for their response and an additional 5 minutes to answer questions from participants. At the end, the facilitator will summarize the key insights for the audience and allocate 5 minutes to each speaker for final remarks.
