Private Sector Participants: Understanding of how the Framework can enhance their support for governments in DPI initiatives.
Civil Society Organizations: Knowledge on utilizing the Framework to ensure accountability in DPI engagements.

Description:
Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) holds transformative potential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 through its capacity to drive exponential progress, enhance the efficiency of public services, and foster inclusive economic growth. DPI's role in nurturing safer, more inclusive societies is pivotal. Nonetheless, the rapid deployment and scaling of DPI also introduce significant risks including human rights violations such as exclusion, discrimination, and privacy infringements through data misuse. In response, the DPI Safeguards Framework, set for presentation around the Summit of the Future in September 2024, aims to establish a balanced approach that maximizes DPI benefits while effectively managing its associated risks.
1. Gather comprehensive feedback to refine the DPI Safeguards Framework.
2. Motivate endorsement of the Framework by government, private sector, and civil society stakeholders.
3. Promote widespread implementation of the Framework.
Hybrid Format: There will be a Mural board, where the in-person session will be replicated and online participants can contribute.
