This workshop aims to delve into the critical role of digital inclusion in youth education, examining both the opportunities it presents and the challenges it poses. Through interactive sessions and collaborative discussions, participants will explore strategies to promote equitable access to technology and digital resources, empower youth, and address the barriers to digital inclusion in education.
    By engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, this workshop aims to foster collaboration and collective action to promote digital inclusion in youth education, empowering young learners to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

    Expected Outcomes

    Participants gain a deeper understanding of the importance of digital inclusion in youth education and its impact on academic success and future opportunities. Also, insights into the challenges and barriers to digital inclusion faced by young learners from diverse backgrounds. Having this in mind, also will identify strategies and best practices for promoting equitable access to technology and digital resources in educational settings and actionable solutions and initiatives developed through collaborative discussions and partnerships to address barriers to digital inclusion in youth education.

    Hybrid Format: 1. Use a platform that should allow for live streaming of presentations, interactive features such as chat and Q&A, and virtual breakout rooms for group discussions.
    2. Assign a dedicated moderator or facilitator responsible for managing the flow of the session and ensuring that both onsite and online participants have equal opportunities to engage. The moderator can monitor the chat, relay questions from online participants to speakers, and facilitate discussions across both mediums.
    3. Encourage speakers to utilize diverse presentation formats that cater to both onsite and online audiences.
    4. Ensure that all content and materials presented during the session are accessible to both onsite and online participants. This includes providing closed captioning or transcripts for live presentations, offering alternative formats for visual content, and ensuring that virtual breakout rooms are accessible to participants with disabilities.
