Cruz, Genaro

  

Genaro is a digital connectivity specialist with over 12 years of experience working in the telecommunications sector. He is currently a Managing Partner and co-founder at Tenolli, a leading connectivity startup focused on bridging the digital divide and decarbonizing telecom networks. At Tenolli, Genaro advises governments, the private sector, and multilaterals on designing innovative technology and policy solutions to connect the unconnected in a sustainable manner.

Prior to founding Tenolli, Genaro was the Director of Infrastructure and Policy for digital inclusion at the GSMA, where he led numerous research, technical, and advocacy projects to connect underserved populations in emerging markets across the globe. He is the author of several studies contributing to the understanding of the supply and demand-side challenges preventing people from getting online.

Genaro holds a Telecommunications Engineering degree from the National University of Mexico, a Masters in Networked Computer Systems from Telecoms Paris, and Masters of Public Administration from the London School of Economics.
